Does Your Brand Feel All Over the Place?

You may know your business well and still struggle to explain how you want people to see it, feel about it, or remember it.

Sometimes the challenge is not knowing what your brand should say about your business. Other times, you have ideas but have never taken the time to bring them together.

This workshop gives you space to think through those questions and turn your ideas into something you can actually see.

You Know Your Business

But explaining what you want your brand to communicate can be harder than explaining what your business does.

Your Ideas Are Scattered

You may have images, words, feelings, and ideas you like, but no clear picture of how they fit together.

You Need Time to Work It Out

Running the business does not always leave much time to think about how you want the brand to grow with it.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is for micro- and small-business owners and nonprofit leaders who want greater clarity on how their organization should look, feel, and come across to the people they serve.

It is especially useful if your ideas feel scattered, your brand has developed piece by piece over time, or you know your organization has changed and want the brand to better reflect where it is going.

You do not need branding or design experience. The workshop will guide you through the process.

WORKSHOP ELIGIBILITY

The workshop is open to businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Businesses located within the City of Warren will receive registration priority.

Workshop fee: $25 per participant.

What You'll Work On

This is a guided, hands-on workshop. You will not sit through a long branding lecture.

The presenter will lead a discussion and use practical questions to help you think about your business, your customers, and what you want your brand to communicate.

You will:

01. Think about your brand

Discuss what your business represents, the problem you solve, and how you want people to experience your brand.

02.  Think about your audience

Work through questions about who you want to reach, what matters to them, and what may influence how they respond to your business.

03.   Choose Words That Fit

Identify words that help describe the personality and direction you want for your brand.

04.     Find What Connects

Look through magazines and other materials for images, words, and ideas that connect with the direction you are developing.

05.     Build Your Mood Board

Cut, arrange, mark, and assemble the pieces that best represent the direction you want your brand to take.

What You'll Leave With

You’ll leave with a clearer view of your owner pay approach and one financial action to take next.

Your Completed Mood Board

A physical board that brings together the images, words, and ideas that best represent the direction you want for your brand.

Clearer Brand Direction

A clearer sense of what you want your brand to communicate and a practical reference you can use when making future marketing and creative decisions.

Come Ready to Create

You do not need design experience or a finished vision for your brand. Come ready to think, make choices, and explore what best represents your business or organization.

Think About Your Brand

Be prepared to consider what you want people to understand, feel, and remember about your business or organization.

Build It by Hand

You’ll use magazines, images, words, markers, and other materials to bring your ideas together into a physical mood board.
